Host Responsibilities for Contacting ICLS

When Hosts Need to Contact ICLS: Required Communication Points

As the visa sponsor, ICLS is responsible for maintaining accurate records in SEVIS. We are also responsible for supporting the Intern/Trainee and host organization throughout the program. To do this well, we need your help to stay informed!

Be sure to contact ICLS if any of the following scenarios occur:

  • Training plan changes
  • Supervisor changes
  • Host's address changes
  • Host cannot rotate Intern/Trainee through phases outlined on the training plan
  • Intern/Trainee leaves internship early, quits, or is fired
  • Intern/Trainee is having issues at training, such as no-showing, chronic tardiness, inappropriate behavior, difficulty adjusting, etc.
  • Host closes temporarily or permanently
  • Hours fall below the minimum required 32 hours per week
  • The Intern/Trainee's health, safety, or welfare is at risk

This list is not exhaustive. Feel free to contact ICLS any time you have questions or concerns! You may reach out to your ICLS representative or our general inbox at internships@icls.edu.
