Teachers will keep track of student attendance in Canvas throughout the duration of the course.
Please note that taking attendance at each class is mandatory and no student should be left unmarked. Each student must have a color coded symbol each class.
To mark attendance in Canvas:
- Open your course's page on Canvas.
- Click on the "Attendance" tab on the right-hand side of the screen.
- Here, you will see a list of the students in your class. Each student will appear with a grey icon next to their name.
- You will mark each student's attendance by repeatedly clicking on their name until the correct icon appears.
- A green check means the student is on time and present.
- A red "X" means the student is absent.
- A yellow clock means the student is late.
- A green check means the student is on time and present.
