What will I learn in Arabic Beginner 2?

Designed for students with some prior knowledge of Arabic, this course builds on the topics and communication skills taught in Beginner I.

Please note that the prerequisite for Arabic Beginner 2 is Arabic Beginner 1 or equivalent proficiency.

In addition to the cumulative material, after this course you will be able to: 

  • Ask basic questions to others
  • Be able to recognize and use numbers from 1-20
  • Tell someone about your nationality or the nationality of another person
  • Read and write the entire Arabic alphabet
  • Use the verbs "to drink," "to go," "to watch," in the present tense with subject pronouns "I," "you," "he/she"
  • Use some adjectives
  • Use definite articles

In addition to the cumulative material, the primary topics covered are:

  • Greetings, introductions, and goodbyes
  • Asking and answering short personal questions
  • Numbers 1-20
  • Nationalities
  • Alphabet
