What will I learn in Beginner Spanish 2?

Designed for students with no prior knowledge of Spanish, the Beginner 2 course teaches how to communicate in simple everyday situations.

Please note that the prerequisite for Beginner Spanish 2 is Beginner Spanish 1 or equivalent proficiency.

In addition to the cumulative material, at the end of the course you will be able to:

  • create questions with or without question words
  • discuss places where people go for different activities, products, and services. 
  • express actions that will happen soon. 
  • use large numbers. 
  • express your likes and dislikes. 
  • learn about different cultural practices. 
  • recall vocabulary related to food.
  • discuss meals and follow recipes
  • say what you or someone else has eaten
  • talk about which food or drinks you like and don't like (or these preferences of another person)
  • talk about professions or professional goals
  • apply knowledge of geography and vocabulary relating to nationality to talk about myself and the peoples of the Spanish-speaking world.
